Vidal AC receives support from IVACE+I to develop an innovative energy-efficient system for industrial refrigeration

Vidal AC proudly announces the awarding of a grant by the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness and Innovation (IVACE+I) for the development of a pioneering project titled:

“System to improve the energy efficiency of industrial refrigeration facilities with artificial intelligence and advanced communications. (ViCold-AI)”

This project, which will be executed in collaboration with the Universitat de València, is framed within the “Consolidation of the business value chain” program, under the category of experimental development, and is part of the Valencian Community European Regional Development Fund (FEDER) Program 2021-2027.

An innovative proposal for industrial sustainability

The main objective of the project is to research and develop a system with learning capability based on artificial intelligence algorithms. This system will allow:

  • Understanding and optimizing the behavior of industrial refrigeration facilities, analyzing and dynamically adjusting to different operating environments.
  • Increasing the energy efficiency of the facilities, contributing to a significant reduction in operational costs associated with energy consumption.
  • Minimizing environmental impact through continuous improvement of facility performance and the reduction of associated emissions.

The system’s learning capability ensures continuous optimization over time, providing sustainable benefits and adapting to the specific conditions of each industrial environment.

Strategic collaboration for greater impact

The project is being developed thanks to the collaboration with two key partners, whose knowledge and experience will be fundamental to its success:

The Universitat de València, in collaboration with Vidal AC, will work on the design and implementation of the cloud storage and computing infrastructure, ensuring the capacity to manage large volumes of data efficiently and securely. Furthermore, it will contribute its expertise in the development and validation of artificial intelligence algorithms based on Machine Learning, which will allow for the optimization and improvement of the performance of industrial refrigeration facilities through advanced analysis and continuous learning.

Dismuntel SL will lead the development of an advanced IoT communications system (datalogger Gateway), a device that combines the functions of a data logger (datalogger) and a gateway (Gateway). This device will collect, store, and transmit information from field sensors and devices to the cloud environment developed by Vidal AC. This system will allow for an efficient and reliable integration of the collected data for subsequent analysis.

The synergy between Vidal AC, Dismuntel SL, and the Universitat de València guarantees a comprehensive approach that combines technological innovation, advanced research, and a solid practical application, positioning this project as a benchmark in industrial sustainability and innovation.

A step toward industrial sustainability

The importance of this project lies not only in technical optimization but also in its capacity to make a difference in industrial sustainability. In the words of a spokesperson from Vidal AC:

“We expect this system to drive a significant improvement in the energy efficiency of industrial refrigeration facilities, reducing operational costs and environmental impact. This project not only reinforces our commitment to innovation but also to sustainability and the future of our sector.”

The support from IVACE+I and the FEDER program, with an investment of €206,918, underscores the value of initiatives that promote competitiveness and sustainability in the Valencian Community, consolidating its position as a benchmark in technological innovation applied to industry.
